On 16 May 2024, a reception for the Cameroonian participants of the Chinese Government's Human Resources Development Programs was held in Yaoundé. Chinese Ambassador in Cameroon H.E. Wang Yingwu, officials of Cameroonian government and former trainees, accounting to more than 200 people, attended the reception.

    Ambassador Wang said in his remarks that under the guidance of the idea of building a community with a shared future for mankind, China has been sharing the development achievements with other countries and learning experiences from each other through various forms of cooperation among which human resources development cooperation. In recent years, the China-Cameroon human resources development cooperation has achieved fruitful results and become an important platform for enhancing friendship and promoting cooperation between the two countries. China is willing to join hands with Cameroon to promote greater achievements in Cameroon's national development, and to push forward China-Cameroon friendly and co-operative relations to a higher level.

    An atmosphere of warm friendship prevailed at the reception. Participants expressed their gratitude to the Chinese government for organizing the training programs, shared their experiences in China, and showed their willingness to contribute to Cameroon's development and to promote the friendship between the two countries.
